Between 2019 and 2020, our company was involved in the construction of the new Nozza-Vestone cyclepath in Lombardy.
The works carried out in Vestone provided an extension of the “Percorso Vita” route in a southerly direction along the edge of the village to the public park.
The construction of this route involved the building a 100 m long steel walkway suspended above the Chiese river and another 1 km long section of cyclepath in the surrounding countryside.
The suspended walkway, which is a made-to-measure structure, was created using a construction system that involves the cantilever installation of a series of pre-assembled 5 m long modules. Each section of the walkway has different dimensions, in order to cope with the contours of the mountain side.
The main supporting structure is longitudinal, anchored using a “double bracket” system, itself supported by anchors cemented into the rock to a depth of 4 m.
Around the cantilever walkway, we also carried out work to secure the rockface above the route by fitting rockfall nets and barriers.
